The Twelfth

Eleven artists from nine countries come together in a single space. Each brings their own artistic language, personal experience, and unique way of seeing the world. Their works come together in the exhibition “The Twelfth” as eleven distinct voices that do not always have to agree to engage in a dialogue.

The exhibition does not look for a single answer, nor does it seek a shared perspective. It shows that the same reality can be perceived in many distinct ways and that each work of art can be the beginning of a new story. What one overlooks may trigger a memory, question, or strong emotion in another.

“The Twelfth” in the exhibition’s title is therefore not another artist. It is the visitor who enters the gallery space. They bring their own feelings and way of seeing to the works displayed. They become part of the dialogue and imbue the individual works of art with a meaning that did not exist before they arrived.

“The Twelfth” is not a static exhibition. It transforms anew with every visitor and gains a fresh perspective. Eleven artists open up a dialogue. The twelfth voice belongs to whoever chooses to listen.
